Implementation of Authorized Deduplication in Hybrid Cloud Computing Model

Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources by providing limitless infrastructure to the user. User can store and retrieve the files from the cloud through internet. Hybrid cloud is the combination of private and public clouds. Critical data resides in the private cloud other data is stored in and accessible from public cloud.

As the cloud computing becomes more dominant, an increasing amount of data being stored in the cloud. Normally in most organizations, the storage systems contain duplicate copies of many pieces of data. The user may outsource same copies data to cloud leads to duplication. Data deduplication is one of significant data density techniques for eliminating duplicate copies of repeating data and has been extensively used in cloud storage. In this paper, we considered an efficient data deduplication technique to identify and eliminate duplicate data in the cloud, to avoid unnecessary storage of same data in cloud. The results show that, the cloud resources can be efficiently utilized with the proposed deduplication technique.
