Generally the people construct the structure to fulfill their current needs but with the passage of time they realize that their demands have increased and there is a need for the addition/alteration of the current structure. Provision for additional load due to install Electric Overhead Traveling (E.O.T) crane over existing structure was not made in the structural design of the existing workshop. The construction of crane requires the strengthening of the existing work shop. In The present study strengthening the existing workshop was carried out with extra load of E.O.T. crane. The analysis of both existing and proposed workshop was performed by using STAAD Pro V8i. The results of analysis for existing and proposed workshop are compared to evaluate the increase in structural forces due to the installation of E.O.T. crane. From The results it shows that the significant increase was found in the axial force and bending moment in columns. The deficient and weak members are identified and strengthened for the additional loads and additional moments. The strengthening of weak and deficient members was done by additional connection of the structure.
