Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and occupational stress of health workers in Coimbatore district. This was study which had been implemented on a sample of 500 selected from the hospitals functioning at Coimbatore district. Data obtained from this study was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression tests. This study confirmed relationship between emotional intelligence and occupational stress. Promotion of emotional intelligence through implementing training courses may reduce health workers occupational stress or prevent it.
