Abstract

Almost all the devices in the modern age of technology is equipped with some imaging capabilities e.g. mobile phone, laptops, tablet computers, personal computers, televisions etc. are having camera inbuilt. All other applications like traffic monitoring, surveillance and other areas having imaging devices. So the making these imaging devices more powerful to reduce noises in captured images is needful for the world. So that in this paper a methodology is proposed for image denoising which is based on the wavelet decomposition utilizing two Discrete Meyer wavelet filters with thresholding. Two Discrete Meyer wavelet filters are connected in series with different thresholding. The designed algorithm can facilitate imaging system more effectively by reducing the effects of the gaussian noise.
