Abstract

Image denoising is often used in the field of Photography or publishing where an image was somehow degraded but needs to be improved before it can be printed. Image denoising involves the manipulation of the image data to produce a visually high quality image. All other applications like traffic monitoring, surveillance and other areas having imaging devices. So that in this paper a methodology is proposed for image denoising which is based on the wavelet decomposition utilizing two Discrete Meyer wavelet filters with thresholding. Two Discrete Meyer wavelet filters are connected in series with different thresholding. The designed algorithm can facilitate imaging system more effectively by reducing the effects of the Gaussian noise.
