Abstract

The aim of this project is to analyse the mechanical performance and emission performance characteristics of biodiesel extracted from hibiscus seed oil in presence of heterogeneous base catalyst by Transesterification. Experimental work have been carried out to know performance characteristics of various blends of biodiesel with that of diesel and the experiment have been evaluated at variable load at 1500rpm. Analysed “Brake specific fuel consumption, Brake thermal efficiency, Brake power, CO, CO2, HC as compared to diesel. From the experimental analysis it has found that H30 shows good performance and emission.
