The study is an attempt to identify the existence of level of QWL in Insurance industry and to find out prominent QWL factors. The existence of quality of work life in the insurance industry was measured on the basis of variables related to QWL. Primary data was elicited from 206 respondents belonging to various insurance companies operating in Mysore district of Karnataka state. The data collected from field survey were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques like mean and standard deviation and advanced statistical techniques like One sample T tests, ANOVA, Levene's Test for Equality Variances, and Tukey HSD Multiple comparison post hoc tests. The results indicate that there is a significant difference in employees’ perception towards factors influencing on quality of work life in insurance industry. General well being, Home work interface, Working conditions, Recognition, Adequate and fair compensation, Congenial employee-supervisor relations, Relationship with subordinates, and Participative management/Decision making affected the quality of work life.
