Abstract

Programmable logic controller (P.L.C) makes a system automatic, fast, reliable and safe. It reduces the need of man power, therefore chances of human error reduces greatly. Switching is something which is very common in everyday life and mostly done manually. This paper is about how this manually operated system can be automated. A systematic interconnection between P.L.C and relay helps in making this automation possible. P.L.C is programmed in ladder logic diagram (L.L.D) and the medium of this is a personal computer (P.C). The result after implementing the hardware and interfacing it with a P.L.C was successful, thereby making the system automated.
