Abstract

In this communication association of CTS occurrence with CTS symptoms in long term Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) environment has been presented through questionnaire, CTS symptoms severity scale and HAV exposure measurement. One way ANOVA and chi square test of independence have been used for statistical analysis. One Way ANOVA test result shows that the calculated F value (2.07) is less than the critical value (3.68) for all the potential CTS symptoms. This confirms that all the potential CTS symptoms contribute towards the occurrence of CTS. Chi square test reveal that all the potential CTS symptoms except Difficulty in Grasping (DIG) are not affected by the levels of vibration exposure.
