Abstract

In order to meet the exploding bandwidth requirement of existing and emerging communication applications, all optical networks have been gaining momentum. These networks have a tremendous bandwidth. However, the demand for point-to-point communication is not so much. Therefore to better utilize the capabilities of all optical networks, the bandwidth is divided into multiple communication channels. All these channels have their unique wavelength. In other words, the wavelength division multiplexing is used by these channels.

An efficient routing in WDM passive optical network is proposes in it. The main purpose is to design a routing mechanism which provide route in network services. The main focus is on the design of optimized networks in which the rerouting scheme to avoid fault is as simple as possible. For the following we formulated few things such as1)Routing by various approaches 2)Computed delay 3)Blocking probability 4)Channel load 5) Bit error rate and some other parameters.
