Abstract

The cyanobacteria or blue-green algae are the most primitive group of algae. In cellular organization they resemble bacteria by the absence of any membrane bound organelles and their photosynthesis is akin to all other eukaryotic algae and higher plants. Thus these are known as cyanobacteria. They appear to represent a link between bacteria and higher plants. In this work an attempt was made to see the effect of two humane hormones insulin & Oxytocin on the growth of Chrococcous minimus. In case of insulin highest growth seen in 100ppm & lowest in 0.1ppm but in case of Oxytocin growth was just reverse.
