Abstract

The modal analyses are carried out to evaluate the modal parameters. Natural frequency, mode shapes is called as modal parameters. But the current study deals with evaluating the modal analysis in both experimental and numerical simulation for an axial flow compressor blade. A three-dimensional model of a compressor blade was established in FE tool for numerical simulation and experiment are carried out using impact hammer test, in modal analysis technique in free-free boundary condition. In experimentally, impact hammer test generates the FRF in OROS system to extracts the natural frequencies for a blade. Finally evaluating experimental mode shape and numerical simulation mode shape are highlighted.
