Abstract

Nowadays image resolution enhancement technique is used in many applications. The resolution of any image that holds the details of image is important factor of image. Therefore, in this work resolution technique is proposed based on interpolation technique. Discrete wavelet transforms gives high frequency components. The Decomposition of the input image is also done with the help of discrete wavelet transform. Here the stationary wavelet transform is used to enhance the image. The better results are obtained by proposed technique than conventional techniques. The low frequency component is neglected and instead of that input image is used. Peak signal to noise ratio is used to measure the image quality. Then proposed technique is compared with bi-linear and bi-cubic interpolation. The test images used are Lena, Elaine, Baboon and Pepper.
