Abstract

The Research focuses on the study and understanding of the Performance Management System in biotechnology industry. Various steps of recruitment process like CV screening, CV short listing, Interviewing, Hiring and Induction have been well studied

Performance Appraisal is a crucial activity for organizations that are looking for growth and profit maximization in this ever-increasing competitive environment. The essential components of an effective performance appraisal system consist of understanding its foundations and the essential steps that lay the foundation. It is also necessary to recognize the Objectives and Benefits of this system.

The performance of employees belonging to different departments have been considered and then the performance of respective departments iscompared with the performance of the whole company by using statistical tool that is Standard Deviation. The data has been considered of 888 employees who have been apprised in the year 2014–15.

Also the study focuses on the online implementation of new Performance Management System.

Besides this, the over-view of functions like Recruitment Process, Compensation Benefits, Human Resource Information System, Time Management also have been studied at the HR department,

The overview study has enabled understand the overall functioning of the HR department, covering various aspects and thus emphasizing on the importance of smooth coordination between Recruitment and the other functions of the HR department.
