Resistance spot welding is a widely used technique for welding metal sheets. It is mostly carried out in the automotive industry and industrial sectors for designing purposes. In this process, two metal sheets are joined by the heat obtained during the flow of resistance electric current through the surface of contact. In this welding technique, pressure which is exerted by the electrodes joins the sheet metals. The experimentation in this work uses three factors with each factor having three levels. The three factors used are welding current, electrode force and weld time. The weld characteristics that were optimized are tensile weld strength, the size of indentation. The investigation is based on Taguchi approach [L9], using Analysis of variance (ANOVA) for determining the influence of weld parameters within optimal conditions.
