The geometric structures of images and signals can be systematically analyzed by using mathematical morphology. Mathematical morphology provides very useful tools and techniques for analysis of human faces. Human Face is Primary focus of attention of conveying identity. Detection of human faces become very crucial in last decade, with applications in many fields like national security, airport and telecommunication, and for automating various image processing techniques. Structures with in human face can be analyzed with the help of mathematical morphology. The basic assumption in image morphology is that image contains geometric structures that can be handled by set operators. Mathematical morphology can be used in many areas like noise elimination, feature extraction, edge detection and image segmentation. In this paper, method based on color based segmentation and morphological processing will be described.
