Analysis of Ergonomics and Identification of Root Causes of Construction Accident in Tamil Nadu

The objective of this analysis was to investigate the problems of ergonomics, occupational health and safety to the Labors in Construction workers. This analysis indicate the worker injuries, work related problem, Environment problems, and causes of Accident. The questionnaires were prepared to 230 Labors in various fields to solve the problems and find the causes of accident through the interview to the workers. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) has been used to evaluate the injuries of workers and correlation was found among the ergonomics checklists. The solution for the ergonomics problem was to create awareness to the workers and provide training to work in a safe way. To improve the efficiency of the workers the management should create awareness to eliminate ergonomics problems and reduce the construction accidents.
