In order to achieve the combined advantages of optical broadband network and wireless network, the concept of Fiber wireless (FiWi) access network has been evolved. There are various research issues in FiWi network. Survivability and energy efficiency are of main concern. In this paper the main objective is to propose optimal segmentation of FiWi network, using adaptive energy segmentation algorithm for better survivability of FiWi network.
