The present fuel consumption scenario is change when the world population is increases the transportation facility as well as consumption is also increase. For this we required type of source which full fill the future demand of fuel this study I am used alternative of diesel fuel. By using nbutanol with diesel blend in compression ignition four-stroke diesel engine. A blend of biodiesel and diesel was prepared designated B5, B10, B15, and B20 and B30. B5 represented a mixture of 5% n-butanol & 95% by volume of diesel. An experiment was conducted with diesel and B5, B10, B15, B20 and B30 fuel. This alternative fuel contains n-butanol, so it reduces the emission compared to diesel. N-butanol is a good cooling agent due to the blending of n-butanol so the NOx emission reduced. For this mixture the brake thermal efficiency of engine, brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) of engine and exhaust gas discharge are obtained and compared by the use of graph. The carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide CO2, and hydrocarbons (HC), are being measured by the use of gas analyzer and compared with other parameter by the use graph. The performance parameters evaluated and Results were compared with the neat diesel the experimental investigation has been done on single cylinder Compression Ignition Engine coupled with a Rope Brake Rope dynamometer.
