Content Based Video Retrieval-Concept & Applications-A Review Paper

In Today's electronic era, we have a cheap storage device that's why the amount of digital data produced and added in the multimedia database, but that database is very bigger and without any good searching method we cannot access that data easily. So we have competent retrieval systems to retrieve that data. Now days it is biggest challenge to fetch the useful information from the database. Hence we use a content based retrieval technique. In CBR system the system extracts the content of multimedia i.e. Spatial and temporal features. Means CBR method retrieve the image or video on the basis of their visual content like color distribution, texture, edge, shape and motion. CBR is now described with two techniques CBIR and CBVR. Video data is managed by different methods like Metadata based management, Text based management, and Audio based management, integrated approach and Content Based method. In this paper we discussed about Content Based Video Retrieval.
