Abstract

This study examines heat transfer and friction factor of fully developed flow of air in a rectangular channel in which one walls are roughened with arrays of V-shaped symmetric gap ribs through CFD on fluent 6. 3. Geometry used for this analysis has 600 angles of-attack, number of gap taken is 3. with p/e = 10, g/e=8, e/D =.043, Reynolds number range from 4000 to 18000 and the result of this analysis is compare with the result of experimental analysis done by Rajesh Maithani, J.S. Saini on Heat transfer and friction factor correlations for a solar air heater duct roughened artificially with V-ribs with symmetrical gaps having the same geometry.
