The purpose of this study is to understand the significance of Operational research techniques in making the optimum utilization of limited resources. There is the need to apply operational research techniques in Indian health sector esp. hospitals.
Relevant studies were identified through searches in the following databases: springer, pub med, google scholar from 1968–2009.
The reviews were selected on the basis of various operational research techniques in operational research techniques played very significant role in decreasing cost, increasing profit and was helpful in making critical decision.
