Abstract

An experimental investigation has been carried out for a range of system an operating parameters in order to analyze the effect of different size of roughened elements (rhombus shape)on thermal performance of roughened flat-plate solar air heater. Duct has an aspect ratio W/H of 7, of different size 1”, 1.25”, 1.5” and 2”; mass flow rate range from 0.02–0.045 kg/s and Reynolds Number (R e) range from to 5100 to 28000. A considerable increase in thermal efficiency has been observed.
