Solar Power Remote Monitoring using Labview

Abstract

Solar power usage is increasing due to increase of demand. So monitoring and control techniques have to enhance in order to reduce power wastage. For that remote monitoring of the data is required. In order to develop that remote monitoring techniques a graphical user interface system using LABVIEW has been developed, which contains Web publishing tool, used for monitoring or controlling the data from remote area in PC using Web browser and Data dashboard app for monitoring the data in mobiles, tablets etc. Here a GUI (Graphical User Interface) is provided on the system where the solar panel along with hardware is interfaced. The graphical source code and the front panel of the VI (Virtual Instruments) present in the system for measurement of solar power. By using Web publishing tool the solar power measured in the front panel of the hardware interfaced system was remotely monitored in the another system web browser using the IP(Internet Protocol) address of the hardware interfaced system. And by using data dashboard app the shared variable solar power was monitored in the mobile using system IP address.
