Olpad is one of the well-known sugar cane producing regions in Gujarat. The crop of sugarcane is quite popular in this area because of monetary reasons. One of the reasons is that it gives better earning. Many cooperative sugar factories are also established in the surrounding area. In this article, an effort is made to determine the trend of crop production of sugar cane, its area under cultivation and the total expenses. Multiple regression analysis is carried out among crop production, area under cultivation and the total expenses of sugar cane crop of Olpad region from Gujarat state. Also the tests for multi collinearity, auto-correlation and heteroscedasticity are carried out and some inferences can be drawn.
