Although software projects have suffered from a reputation of consistent failure in recent years, there has been a dramatic change in statistics. Standish Group has been compiling an annual survey since 1994, and over the years they have traced software success rates. In this review paper, we have presented seminal work on Software Project Success till date and identified further research opportunities.
