Abstract

The subject of this study is to identify the influence of corrosion over the hull of a VLCC. Two cases are analysed, as built thickness and the thickness according to measurements after 15 years of service. Strength analysis was perform using 3D-FEM tools over three cargo hold model. Yielding ratio criteria was used as checking criteria.
