Abstract

Sugar industry play important role in economic development of country but the effluent releases from the industry posses water pollution and causes health hazards. The variety of the fungi capable to degrade the organic matter which is present in effluent. The present Paper deals with the fungal diversity of sugarcane industrial effluent. A total number of 15 species belonging to 9 genera of fungi were isolated during our investigation in various sugarcane industries of M.P.
