To develop a complete agro- technique of the plant, studies on some cultivation aspects of B. monnieri with reference to physico- chemical characters were taken up. Black cotton soil, was found to be more suitable for growth of Bacopa monnieri, as compared to garden soil, as the plants grown in this soil, showed better performance with respect to growth and yield of biomass as well as bacoside-A content.
