Due to rapid industrialization and increased population it was found to increase the effluents and waste water into the aquatic system. Heavy metal ions are the major poisonous substance found in industrial wastewaters and they are the main cause of hazard to humans as well as others forms of life. In the present study adsorption of chromium (VI) on the bark has been carried out with the variation in parameters like concentrate of adsorbate, amount of adsorbent, effect of temperature, effect of time and effect of pH.
