Frequency and percentage occurrence of soil mycoflora in different crop fields at H D Kote of Mysore district

Abstract

A total of 12 species belonging to 6 genera of fungi were isolated from crop fields at Heggadadevana Kote (H.D.Kote) of Mysore District and the study was carried out in agricultural fields of H D Kote taluk of Mysore district, during Jan 2012 to June 2012. The samples were subjected to serial dilution and then inoculated on the Czapek's Dox Agar and Potato Dextrose Agar medium. The most common among them are: A niger, A terreus A fumigatus, A flavus, R stolanifer, P chrysogenum, P fumiculosum, T viride, T harzianum, F oxysporum, F solani, and C lunata were isolated and characterized. The seasonal variation and percentage frequency of the microflora were statistically analysed.
