Abstract

The quality of groundwater sample collected from 35 representative wells in rural area of Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. A total of 16 physico-chemical characteristics were analysed. A systematic correlation and regression study showed significant liner relationship among different pairs of groundwater quality parameters. TDS shows good correlation with Magnesium Hardness (0.847), Calcium Hardness (0.929), Chloride Hardness (0.971) and Total Hardness (0.929) but poor correlation with CO3, HCO3 and DO.
