Abstract

The objective of this investigation was to determine the effects of different pesticides commonly used to cotton on soil micro biota (total viable bacteria), Pesticides were applied at different dilutions and incubation periods. The effects of these pesticides on total viable bacteria were investigated in laboratory experiments. In the soil sample treated with Malathion (insecticide), pesticide had strong inhibitory effect on the number of total microorganisms.
