The influence of Fe2O3 addition on the variation in electrical conductivity, density, Tg and CTE has been studied in Li2O:B2O3:SiO2 glass system. The results have been explained in the light of the NBOs present in the glass, the electronic contribution to the total conductivity, the size and mass of the Fe3+ ion which is substituted for B2O3 and SiO2 in the glass.
