In this paper, we set voting as an example and give an intuitive explanation for the Pythagorean picture fuzzy Set (PPFS). We also construct a natural distance measure from PPFS's intuitive meaning. By measuring the distance from any Pythagorean picture fuzzy numbers (PPFNs) to the ideal PPFNs, we can rank PPFNs in descending order. Then, we develop a new multiple attribute decision-making method under Pythagorean picture environment. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of our new method.
