In the presence of benzophenon the reaction of eosin Photo reduction parameters were observed spectro photo metrically i.e the effects of pH, dye concentration, benzophenone concentration etc, observations on this reaction indicated that dye photo reduction is apseudo-first order kinetics. An approximate mechanism for photo reduction of eosin has been presented in this paper.
