Tovalidatethe reliability of Korean version questionnaire for the Student Perception of Safety and Quality Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes (SP-SQKSA) was assessedto applyto nursing students.
Cross-cultural adaptation was performed according to international guideline: Forward and backward translation. Survey data were collected from 379 fourth year nursing students who enrolled in one of six universities across the country. Data were evaluated using item analysis, content validity, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha.
One item was eliminated since item-total correlations were less than.3, resulting in 9 items on the final Korean SP-SQKSA. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that items on the Korean SP-SQKSA were loaded with two factors, accounting for 57.1%. The model fit index was acceptable (?2/df = 4.22, GFI =.94, NFI =.89, CFI =.91 and RMSEA =.09). Its internal consistency was as reliable as Cronbach's alpha.70.
Findings of this study, measuring Korean nursing students ’perception of safety and quality knowledge, skills and attitudes, demonstrated the reliability of Korean version of SP-SQKSA.
