Most of the snake bite deaths reported were due to delay in giving antivenom and the relatives of deceased allege against doctors that proper care is not given. Snake bite remains a public health problem in many developing countries. In India 216 species of snakes are found, of which 52 are poisonous, but only five species of them are Venomous4, 15 (King cobra, Common cobra, Krait, Russell's viper, and saw scaled viper).
