Determination of crop performance of members of cotton farmer groups

Present paper is focused on the performance of cotton crop of members of cotton farmer groups in Warangal district of Telangana. Two Mandals in the district and two villages in each Mandal were selected randomly. From each village three types of farmer groups were selected namely G₁ (Rythu Mitra groups), G₂ (farmer groups of NGO) and G₃ (commodity interest groups). Ten respondents were selected through stratified quota sampling from each village thus making a total of 120 respondents. Majority of the respondents of G₁ had medium crop performance, of G₂ had high crop performance and of G₃ had low crop performance. Majority of respondents of G₁ had medium crop intensity, yield index and extent of adoption. Similarly majority of respondents of G₂ had medium crop intensity, high yield index and high extent of adoption whereas majority of respondents of G₃ had high crop intensity, low crop yield index and low extent of adoption.
