The study was carried out during kharif season of 2015–16 in 5 villages of South Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Frontline demonstrations (FLDs) on seed cum fertilizer drill for sowing horse gram Macrotyloma uniflorum (Lam) Verdc were laid out on an area of 8 ha with the active participation of farmers. FLDs recorded higher yield of horse gram as compared to farmers’ local practices. The improved technology gave higher gross return, net return and higher benefit-cost ratio than farmers’ practices.
