Estradiol and Progesterone Levels During Pregnancy in Murrah Buffaloes

Abstract

The present study was undertaken to determine the concentration of estradiol and progesterone hormones during different stages of pregnancy in Murrah buffaloes under normal conditions. No significant (P>0.05) difference of serum estradiol was observed between the groups. Highly significant (P<0.01) differences was observed in the levels of progestrone between non pregnant and 2nd trimester of pregnancy and between 2nd trimester of pregnancy and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
