Changes during cutaneous wound healing in buffalo calves treated with Tagetes Erecta Leaf Extract

A study was carried out to evaluate the histological changes during cutaneous wound healing in buffalo calves treated with leaf extracts of Tagetes ereeta. Wounds were treated with leaf extracts of Tagetes erecta and biopsy materials were collected on 3^rd, 7^th, 15^th and 25^th post-operative days. Histological slide on 3^rd day revealed haemorrhage and scanty infiltration of neutrophils. 7^th day slide depicted regenerating epithelium from periphery progressing towards centre. On 15^th day the epidermis was very thick with intact membrane, well formed rete pegs. The 25^th day slide depicted well differentiated epidermal layer. Rete pegs were extending uniformly into dermal layer.
