Studies on efficacy of Xceft (Ceftiofur sodium) against haemorrhagic septicaemia in bovines

Twenty five clinical cases of haemorrhagic septicaemia in cattle and buffaloes of 8 months to 7 years were studied. The buffaloes were found to be more affected than cattle. The disease incidence was higher in young animals than adults.. Treatment of affected animals with Xceft^tm (ceftiofur sodium) @ 2.2 milligram per kilogram of body weight intramuscularly proved. 84 per cent effective.
