Twenty five clinical cases of haemorrhagic septicaemia in cattle and buffaloes of 8 months to 7 years were studied. The buffaloes were found to be more affected than cattle. The disease incidence was higher in young animals than adults.. Treatment of affected animals with Xcefttm (ceftiofur sodium) @ 2.2 milligram per kilogram of body weight intramuscularly proved. 84 per cent effective.
