Abstract

Follicular biometry revealed that the average number of small (1 to 3mm), medium (3 to 5mm) and large (> 5mm) size follicles on left ovaries were 3.54 ± 0.33, 2 ± 0.20 and 1.2 ± 0.20, respectively whereas on right ovaries were 3.14 ± 0.32, 2.3 ± 0.19 and 1.47 ± 0.15, respectively. Total average number of small, medium and large size follicles were 3.33 ± 0.19, 2.15 ± 0.13 and 1.33 ± 0.11, respectively. The percentage of small, medium and large size follicles on the left ovaries were 52.48, 29.71 and 17.83 per cent, respectively, whereas on right ovaries it was 45.42, 33.34, and 21.26 per-cent, respectively. The average numbers of small size follicles were significantly more than average number of medium and large size follicles. There was no significant difference between average number of small, medium and large size of follicles on left and right ovaries.
