Abstract

The study highlights the disease pattern among pastoral herds in arid zone of Rajasthan. Among large ruminants pica and repeat breeding are found major problems whereas among small ruminants, pica, pox, pneumonia and mange were found major infectious diseases among camels. Less availability of green fodder, inadequate feeding, lack of prophylactic vaccination and deworming, improper disposal of carcass and unclean drinking water were important factors responsible for causing diseases.
