The present study was performed in six experimental buffalo calves. All the animals were sedated and about 2.5 cm long nerve graft was collected from median nerve of left forelimb under high median nerve block. Then deep branch of redial nerve of right fore limb was isolated and 2 cm nerve gap was induced, under high redial nerve block. The graft was approximated to the proximal and distal segments of radial nerve by epineurial suturing technique. The animals were examined regularly for locomotary signs for 100 days. On 100th day, after gross examination, nerve samples were collected for histopathological examinations. Locomotary, gross and histopathological findings suggested that nerve grafting may be performed by epineurial suturing technique after collection of graft from median nerve in large animals.
