An experiment was conducted to investigate the changes in the activity of aspartate transaminase (AST) and alanine transaminase (ALT) in the blood plasma associated with pyretic conditions of the buffaloes.The AST and ALT activities in the blood plasma differed significantly among normal and pyretic buffalo groups. The assay of AST and ALT activity in blood plasma is, therefore, of clinical significance to assess the health status of buffaloes.
