Abstract

A study was conducted on three Kankrej bullocks with the history of continuous mucopurulent nasal discharge. Symptomatic treatment was not found effective in eliminating infection in two out of three animals. Therefore, amputation of horn by flap method, followed by lavage of sinuses with hypertonic saline solution and antibiotics were found effective in controlling infection of sinuses in all animals. Examination of amputated horns revealed that the site of infection was sinuses of affected horn of Kankrej bullocks.
