A study was conducted on rats to evaluate the effect of aspirin, diclofenac sodium, flurbiprofen, piroxicam, nimesulide, trysin-chymotrypsin and serratiopeptidase on certain haematological parameters viz. plasma protein concentration, platelet count and coagulation time. The plasma protein concentration and platelet count was significantly (P<0.01) decreased, while the coagulation time was significantly (P<0.01) increased in all the test groups, except nimesulide, trypsin-chymotrysin and serratiopeptidase - treated groups as compared to the control.
