Abstract

Dietary onion and garlic (@1% of the diet) was found to have significant effect on the plasma phosphatidylcholine level in both male and female Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica), indicating its insulin like effect. Further, the changes in the plasma Phosphatidylcholine level in the control group due to change in age and sex were also observed and the same is discussed.
